All five rules are on the rules page with the reasoning attached. In practice, two of them account for almost everything I remove, so here they are again with the edge cases.
No sourcing, no vendors, no prices
This is broader than people expect. It covers:
- Naming a supplier, including "the one everyone uses", including in a complaint about them
- Prices, per-vial or per-mg, even as a comparison
- Photographs of packaging or labels that identify a seller
- "DM me", "check my profile", discount codes
- Asking. A thread asking where to buy something is removed the same as one answering it.
What is fine: discussing testing, purity, what a certificate of analysis proves and does not — see the post on that — as long as no specific seller is in the frame.
Do not tell anybody what to take
The distinction is between reporting and instructing, and it is not subtle once you look for it:
- Fine: "the phase 3 trial used 12 mg once weekly"
- Fine: "I did X and Y happened", in Experiences, with the caveats
- Not fine: "you should run 250 mcg twice a day"
- Not fine: "what should I take for a bad achilles" — asking somebody to break the rule is breaking it
A post that is 90% useful and ends with a dosing instruction gets removed whole. Edit it and repost rather than arguing that the rest was good; it was, and that is why I would rather have it back.
What happens when I remove something
It is hidden, not deleted. The thread shows a gap so the conversation still reads, and I can put it back if I got it wrong. Reports go to a queue a human reads.
