Some of both, and the distinction is worth keeping.
Senolytics as a concept has real support — clearing senescent cells improves multiple outcomes in animal models, reproducibly, across groups. That is much better evidence than most things in the longevity category get.
FOXO4-DRI specifically is one candidate molecule from that field, and being from a promising field is not the same as being a promising molecule. Most candidates in any field do not make it. The peptide-marketing move is to cite the field's evidence for the molecule's page.
That is the same error as citing thymosin beta-4's trials for TB-500, one level up.
Borrowed credibility, at the level of the research programme rather than the molecule. Noted.
It is a very effective move because everything cited is true. The field's results are real, the molecule is genuinely from that field, and the inference between them is the only false step — and it is the one nobody states out loud.
